CHIANG RAI – Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai International Airport has announced a staff practice in case of an Ebola infection of a passenger.
At the international arrival lobby in Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai International Airport, Dr. Chamnan Hansutivatechakul acted as the head in testing the reaction plan for a case Ebola infection for all employees according to ICAO policy.
For this practice, authorities assume that there is an Ebola infected suspect traveling to Thailand. The Captain must inform the flight control tower and the executive of the airport, then the airport must inform the relevant department to be prepared to undertake a disease control process on land and to transfer the suspect patient to a Disease Control Room and the hospital respectively.
Travelers who sat next to the suspect must also be examined and be brought to quarantine. Moreover, the practice also includes the process of getting rid of all liquid discharged by the suspect.
