CHIANG RAI – Mae Suai District is inviting Thai and foreign tourists to have a glance at a beautiful scenery of blooming wild Himalayan cherry blossoms on Doi Chang.
The famous wild Himalayan cherry blossoms are blooming on Doi Chang in the northern province of Chiang Rai.
Visitors will also get to feel the cool breeze on Doi Chang where recorded temperatures range between 10 and 20 degrees Celsius due to its location which is nearly 1,500 meters above sea level.
Doi Chang is also the site of Chiang Rai Highland Agricultural Extension Center which is home to several flora species. The center was constructed in 1985.
It is expected that between the months of December and January, a high number of tourists will flock into the province to get a glimpse of mesmerizing flowers and a spectacular view from the top of Doi Chang.

If you looking for a place to escape the heat? Look no further than Chiang Rai’s Doi Chang, located in the northern province’s Mae Suai District. During this season, the weather remains cool throughout the day, with temperatures ranging from 10 to 20 degrees Celsius.
Visitors will be able to see beautiful flowers that bloom only during the winter season, grown by the Chiang Rai Agricultural Research and Development Center. The flowers were grown for experimental purposes as well as to be displayed to the public. Visitors will also be able to see wild himalayan cherries, also known as Thai Sakuras, which are expected to be in full bloom at the end of December until mid January.
At the hilltop, visitors will be able to get a view of all the various villages and hilltops in sight. Doi Chang is located only 50 kilometers from the main city of Chiang Rai.
