KOH TAO – British National Christina Annesley, 23, body has been reportedly found on the Island of Koh Tao yesterday according to a news report in the Mirror in the UK.
Christina Annesley, was identified online as the girl who died in as-yet unknown circumstances on Wednesday.
Her last twitter tweets, sent on Monday, revealed she was on the island of Koh Tao in the same place where British tourists Hannah Witheridge and David Miller were murdered in September 2014.
Online tributes flooded in to the young girl, who was a vocal political activist during her time studying at Leeds University.
Will McHoebag tweeted: “Still lost for words. I am absolutely devastated. We will miss you very much. She was fantastic.”
A Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokesperson said: “We can confirm the death of a British National in Thailand on 21 January 2014.
“We are providing consular assistance to the family at this difficult time.” Circumstances surrounding the death have not yet released.
