Police seized 40 bars of gold, weighing about 5.2kg, and three lumps of unpolished jade
CHIANG RAI – Li Wisan a 30-year-old woman from Myanmar has been arrested in possession of five million baht in untaxed gold and unpolished jade near the border in Mae Sai Chiang Rai.
Authorites seized 40 bars of gold, weighing about 5.2kg, and three lumps of unpolished jade. The seized items had a face value of about Bt 5,000,000.00
Chiang Rai Customs House authorities spotted Li Wisan carrying a sack and a bag while crossing the Mae Sai River in Mae Sai district of Chiang Rai.
